Our house and yard is work. Lots of work. More work than I want to do or have time to do. So, in an effort to ease some of the work we are making changes. We have 3 plus acres of yard with a shebang full of trees. A shebang full of oak and hickory trees that also equals acorns and hickory nuts. LOTS of hickory nuts. There are not enough squirrels to eat all these nuts and I don’t have the desire to keep raking and shoveling them up just so I can mow. This is the yard before the tree removal.
After the trees were removed…..
Sure it is much prettier with the trees for right now…we need to plant grass. But now I can park in the driveway without the trees damaging the cars.
So then after paying what seems like a Kings Ransom we were done, or so we thought. I got a call from my son while I was at work..”Mom, a tree fell down.” Uh, what do you mean a tree fell down? We just had 24 trees dropped and REMOVED, what do you mean a tree fell down?
Yup. A tree fell down.
A big tree. I does not look big in this picture but it is.
We also had a birth at our home. In the garage. I thought they were dead. I was afraid we had locked the momma out of the garage, away from here babies because it was too quiet for too long. But nope they are alive and well and trying to fly. Their fuzzy little heads are so cute!
After all the preparations the day of the dance finally arrived and they all looked gorgeous. The mothers of the daughters all had stories.
A few never tried the dress on until the day of the dance.
One did not have shoes until that day.
One daughter having creative differences with the mother/photographer.
Another having issues with the mother/ beautician about doing hair.
They had a good time I think. I don’t know. I was not privy to the goings on. I am mom.
